Rio Reventazon: Pascua Section

Product Information
The Reventazon River rages through a mystical gorge steeped in natural beauty and railroad history. It is a great way to see the jungles of Costa Rica and another great way to get between Puerto Viejo and San Jose. The Pascua section is for those who want big water, class 4+ action. This is World Class Whitewater, with over 30 rapids to challenge the fit rafter. Passengers should have prior rafting experience and reasonable fitness. Minimum age is 15 years.

The Reventazon River flows parallel and close to the Pacuare River, right between San Jose and Puerto Viejo, so like the Pacuare trips, we can pick you up in one city and drop you off in the other, by far the best way to travel!

Duration:
About 11-12 hours, approximately three hours on river. Pick up from hotels in San Jose or Puerto Viejo between 6:00 am and 6:30 am. You will be in San Jose or Puerto Viejo around 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm, or on to La Fortuna around 7:00 pm.

Deluxe - Transportation to and from Puerto Viejo, San Jose, or La Fortuna, allowing you to start one place and end up at another at no additional cost!, buffet breakfast. Budget - Transportation begins and ends in Siquirres or Turrialba. Both include expert guides, safety kayaker, all equipment, pre-trip orientation and instruction, buffet breakfast, buffet lunch on the riverside, and lots of FUN.

Bring:
For the river, bring shorts or bathing suit, t-shirt, river-style sandals (like Teva, with heal strap) or sneakers, sunscreen, water, and maybe a waterproof disposable camera. You will get wet!

For after the trip, bring a towel, a dry change of clothes and cash for drinks, snacks and optional tips. Other Suggestions: A waterproof camera, book, playing cards, etc., cash for snacks after the trip and optional tips.
